Back In The Saddle

Yes Martha, we are back.  Just been hiding out is all.  My stats indicate that I have not been around lately, and I can assure you, that is right.  The last time I posted anything, was about a week ago.  I have been working hard around the old Goat Farm, and trying to learn some new tricks on WordPress.Com (By the way … Do you like the new look?).

Just returned from Houston Texas the third largest city in the U.S. and it was a horrible trip.  It was good to see Mom and Dad, the two teenagers, the ten year old, and the little bald headed candyman, the Little One who sucks his thumb.

Thanksgiving Day they had 18 people in the house, with one bathroom, that presented a new challenge and for four days we slept in the room adjacent to that bathroom.  The rest of it, I will leave to your imagination.

Here I will give you a hint:

Reminiscent memories of a Grey Hound Bus Station.

Having successfully guided my dumb-butt through roughly three point seven million Texans.  I am now home and sleeping in my own bed.  It has been a trying three week period for us.  On top of all this, I succumbed to temptation and purchased a new cellphone and have been forced to increase my learning curve on that also.

Yes the adage of “You can teach a old dog new tricks is true.  But no one ever said it would be easy.  In my case it would be “You can try and teach a pig to sing, but it will not work, and it only annoys the pig.

Adding our recent journey to the desert and Lost Wages Nevada, the Bus Meet at the Hoover Water Stopper, the back-haul, then down to Houston … well … I am kind of a tired old puppy right now.

So, not knowing how it is, that I will juggle all these balls in the air, and still remain sane, I will continue.  It is not written in stone that there will be something here to read every day, but it will be better than once a week, I can tell you that.

Creative Endeavors has been here eight years now, and it will be here quite some time longer I suppose.  Check in now and then, see what is going on, grab a subscription and by the marvel of modern technology you will find it in your email each time we post.  Make a comment or two, throw this old dog a bone, we would like that.

Life is good.  Reach up and grab a handful and run.

  1. Glad to see more of the Boxcar Okie” !!!!

  2. Glad you’re back. You haven’t missed much in our neck of the woods (I consider us neighbors… what’s a few dozen miles distance?).
